These different excursions are geared towards different people, dealing with different things in their lives. That being said... Any trip into the wilderness will do the soul an immense amount of good.
Our leadership and adventure excursions are built for those who want to get out and experience nature in a fast paced adventure laden manner, coupled with the calm evenings and survival skill learning that takes place on every trip. These trips would be great for youth groups, student councils, wanderers and adventurers of any age. Examples of some of our different trips are:
Our healthy living excursions are purposefully physically demanding while eating healthily and learning healthy living techniques. This is not a boot camp and is not a food deprivation program. There is a certified health coach available at all times that uses an approved menu from a certified nutritionist. These trips are to help people break old habits and replace them with healthy ones. They will be coached everyday on proper meal plans and what their bodies are going through. They will be monitored for safety during the exercise portion of the trips. There is also health consulting follow up that can be arranged for after care.
These excursions are for those individuals who need to slow down and reconnect with themselves. Our guides will lead the group into the wilderness and then slow it down and allow mother natures healing to begin. There will be physical activity everyday, but the emphasis will be on taking it slow and paying attention to the little and quiet things of life. There can be backpacking, canoeing, flyfishing and swimming on these trips, and there will be nightly group discussions lead by the guides. These nightly groups will be to process the day and to teach coping skills, ART (anger replacement therapy) and social development skills. There will be a licensed therapist within reach at all times. There will also be follow up after care available upon request.
